The Scarlet Pimpernel musical is
...recently became the first American composer in 22 years to have three shows running simultaneously on Broadway: Jekyll & Hyde, The Scarlet Pimpernel and The Civil War. All three shows will be touring the country in the 1999-2000 season. He also composed songs for Julie Andrews for Victor/Victoria on Broadway. Future adventures on the stage include Havana, Alice, Dracula, Ali, Svengali, Casanova and Blade Runner.
Wildhorn's work covers many musical styles, and has been performed in numerous settings by various artists. Songs from Jekyll & Hyde have been heard at the Olympics, the World Series, the Super Bowl, the Miss America Pageant, and many other places worldwide. Also the song "You Are My Home" (performed by Linda Eder and Peabo Bryson) from the concept album of Scarlet Pimpernel has already scored a Top 40 Hit.
Wildhorn is the creative director of the Atlantic Theatre/Atlantic Records and an associate artist of the Alley Theatre in Houston, Texas. With his wife Linda Eder, Mr. Wildhorn has just completed work writing and co-producing her new recording on Atlantic, "It's No Secret Anymore," the follow-up to "It's Time." Other artists who have performed and recorded Mr. Wildhorn's works include Whitney Houston, Sammy Davis Jr., The Moody Blues, Hootie and the Blowfish, Liza Minnelli, Trisha Yearwood, Travis Tritt, Dr. John, Amy Grant, Peabo Bryson, Kenny Rogers and Natalie Cole.

...received a 1998 Tony nomination for Best Book of a Musical for The Scarlet Pimpernel. She wrote the stage adaptation for Robert Stigwood's Saturday Night Fever, which received a 1999 Olivier nomination for Best Musical, and continues its West End run at The London Palladium. Fever recently opened on Broadway at the Minskoff Theatre, with plans for additional companies to playing in Germany and Australia by the spring of 2000.
Knighton has also written for television, cabaret and film (My Little Girl, starring James Earl Jones and Geraldine Page). As a lyricist, she has also worked with composers Jonathan Larson (Rent), Robert Lindsey Nassif (Eliot Ness...in Cleveland) and Howard Marren (Paramour). Knighton has been an annual recipient of ASCAP Lyricist Awards since 1992. Her current projects include Open House (an original musical with Howard Marren) and two plays, Bad Dreams and Man with Two Hearts Found on Moon.
Knighton is an alumna of Harvard University and Sarah Lawrence College, from which she received her B.A. degree. She received her M.A. from Boston University. She is married to John Breglio and has two daughters, Eliza Mason and Nola Breglio.
