| Notes: | Takarazuka Revue is a famous, all-female performing group founded in 1913. Takarazuka commissioned Frank Wildhorn to write Never Say Goodbye, which was premiered by the Cosmos Troupe in 2006. Pimpernel will be presented by the Star Troupe, under the direction of Shuichiro Koike (who also directed Never Say Goodbye). The cast will be led by Kei Aran (the troupe's top otokoyaku, or performer of male roles) as Percy, Asuka Toono (the troupe's top musumeyaku, or performer of female roles) as Marguerite and Reon Yuzuki as Chauvelin. The complete cast list is available in Japanese and in English. This production won the "Grand Prize" award at the 34th Kikuta Kazuo Drama Awards, and an "Excellence Award" at the 16th Yomiuri Theater Awards. Reon Yuzuki (Chauvelin) won a "New Actor" award at the 30th Matsuo Entertainment Awards. A full-length CD and DVD are both available from this production. For details see the recordings page. |
